Naveen Jain, CEO and founder of Intelius, an online information and security provider, continues to gain recognition as a trailblazer in the technology industry.

Coming from humble beginnings, Naveen Jain’s ambition and desire to be similarly situated with the industry’s giants such as Bill Gates inspired him to leave native India to study the emergence of IT markets in the United States. Armed with a bachelor’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology in Roorkee and a Masters in Business Administration from the Xavier School of Management, he worked under role model Gates in Microsoft as group manager of the Microsoft Network for seven years. There, he proved his technical proficiency in the development of OS/2, DOS, and Windows 95 which until now, he continues to own patents of. Inspired and driven by his desire to pursue a more progressive path for himself and his innovative ideas, he formed his own company InfoSpace, a developer of Internet software and application services in 1996, serving as its CEO from 1996 until 2000.

Naveen Jain co-founded Intelius on January 2003 having envisioned to transform the Internet as a relevant repository of information that ordinary people can use in order to make intelligent decisions. The company offers an assortment of services which provides personal and business security such as background and criminal checks, people search, background monitoring and identity theft prevention.

Naveen Jain’s innovative style of leadership is one of the factors of the company’s ability to develop new technologies. Testament to that are the numerous recognitions the company has been reaping for its innovative and efficient products and services. In 2008, it ranked 127 in Deloitte’s 2008 TechFast 500 list of the Fastest Growing Companies in North America and was named “Best New Company” in 2006 during the American Business Awards, to name a few. Naveen Jain was also named an Ernst and Young finalist for the 2006 Entrepreneur of the Year.
